Findings Regarding Students
Chapters 6 and 7 are reports of findings from year one as they relate to students in grades K-12 in the Allen public school system. Chapter 6 includes findings from students in grades 1-6 while Chapter 7’s findings are based on data collected from secondary students in grades 7-12.

Administrators and Technology
Chapter 8 contains findings regarding administrators in the Allen public school system. These findings include information about administrators’ technology proficiency, attitudes toward technology, stages of adoption of technology, levels of use of technology and a profile of each campus’ use of technology. Comparisons of administrators and teachers are included as well.

Home to School Connections
Chapter 9 contains findings from a parent survey of home access to information technology. Extent of use of information technology by parents and students, as well as parents’ willingness to have their children participate in technology-related learning media are reported.

Impact on Partner Schools
Findings from information gathered at the KIDS Summer Institute are included in Chapter 10. This institute was conducted to prepare key educational personnel for year 2 activities. The institute was attended by teachers from Allen ISD as well as the member districts of Laredo and San Vicente.

Summary and Implications of Findings
Chapter 11 contains a summary of the findings presented in Chapters 2-10, while Chapter 12 focuses on implications of these findings for KIDS project goals. The key research questions introduced in Chapter 1 are addressed in the final chapter as well.
